Monthly Writing Competition (Opening Soon)
Every three weeks, new and established writers nationwide will be able to submit a short piece of their writing to our Monthly Writing Competition. Our staff of interns will be the judges. Whoever wins the contest for that month will be featured on our website homepage for the entire following month. The lucky winner will also be featured on our social media accounts and in our bi-weekly newsletter. They will also be given the opportunity to be interviewed and written about by our blog team. Stay tuned!
Submission Guidelines

We are looking for flash fiction {no more than 1,000 words} and poetry of all forms (no more than 50 lines). Only one flash fiction piece/poem per submission, please.

We accept submissions from new and experienced writers nationwide. We particularly love reading pieces from writers belonging to LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC, and all marginalized communities.

We do not accept works that spread racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, or any hateful beliefs. We additionally do not accept works that depict gratuitous violence.
How to submit

Fill out the Monthly Writing Contest form here.

State your name, pronouns, and state of residence in the form.

Attach your submission as a Google Doc link. Put your full name and email at the top left corner of the page(s). Make sure that your flash fiction piece/poem is double spaced and in 12 point Times New Roman. Make sure that you share the Google Doc with singularitypress@gmail.com so that we have access to your work.

Please include a third-person biography about yourself (no more than 100 words) and a JPEG headshot of yourself in the form. You can put the biography and the headshot in one Google Doc. Share the Google Doc link with singularitypress@gmail.com.
If you win...

You and your piece will be featured on Singularity Press’ website homepage for a month.

You will also be granted the opportunity to be interviewed/written about by our blog team.

If you don't win...

You can always submit again the following month!
The winner will be notified by singularitypress@gmail.com. They will also be emailed a contract to sign regarding the rights for us to publish their work. If winners do not sign the contract by a certain date, they will not be featured on our platforms.
